The Japanese company Iris Ohyama Europe B.V., located in Tilburg, donated a total of 60,000 face masks last week. The company, that manufactures a wide variety of home, DIY, pet, craft and office plastic products, home appliances and face masks contributes in this way to the fight against the coronacrisis.
Subsequently, there are various containers on the way with more face masks that will be sold in the Netherlands, Germany and France. These masks will mainly be used for store employees, visitors and consumers.
Iris Ohyama is currently working on increasing their production capacity in order to produce more face masks. At this moment, their production facility in China (Dalian and Suzhou) produces 150,000 face masks each day. As of June, 40 production lines will be started from June in Japan (Kakuda near Sendai). 16 production lines will be started from August in the USA (Wisconsin) and 8 production lines will be started from September in France.
