Medicines wholesaler and pharmacy owner Brocacef has expanded its distribution center in Eindhoven and has also taken it into use. The expansion of the DC will double the capacity. Part of the DC is used as bulk storage for the wholesaler. In addition, the transport department of Brocacef has also moved to Eindhoven. This means that all is under one roof and that Brocacef is prepared for the future.

After making the first sketches for a possible extension at the beginning of 2018, the project started a year later and on June 17, 2019, the first steps were made. Construction went very well and despite the Corona crisis, the project was completed two months ahead of schedule.

Sustainabilty

In the Eindhoven distribution center, Brocacef has implemented sustainable applications to grow to a higher sustainability level. For example, the building is equipped with solar panels and the new construction is gas-free. In addition, Brocacef has fully equipped the completed new construction part with smart LED lighting and air heating. Mechanical doors further contribute to cost savings and the impact on the environment.
