Fadi Sarieddine, a design studio based in Dubai, has established an office in Breda recently. It is one of the first few companies from the Middle East that decided to set-up an operation in Brabant. The company chose to come to Brabant because of its central location and the craftsmanship that is readily available here.
The design studio is a multidisciplinary atelier that was founded in 2013. The company offers architectural and design services, with a focus on furniture. Continually challenging traditional design and examining it through new materials, applications and technologies, Sarieddine’s experimental approach to design is the springboard from which the studio explores the intersections of art, architecture, interiors and product design.
When choosing Breda as a location for expanding further into the European market, close collaboration was established with the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA), REWIN West-Brabant and BOM Foreign Investments. The company was introduced to several parties able to manufacture its furniture. Next to that, a meeting was set-up between Fadi and the organization of the Dutch Design Week in order to provide them with the opportunity to participate this year.
